As you may know, the one-time succesful economic activity of Construction (one of the key productive-sectors of the spanish economy during the last five decades) is trying to deal with the harder structural crisis ever. FUTURLAB, in order to stimulate dialogue, exchange experiences and to explore alternative future scenarios, organized a new edition of INNODAY, this time focused on the Built-Environment hypersector in Valencia Region. The hot point of the meeting was the potential of Foresight –as strategic tool- to revitalize and/or reorient this sector, paying special attention to emerging and brand-new research tools to explore the future WITH the users/clients themselves, like IKNOW, a project where FUTURLAB participates as a partner. Dr.Rafael Popper, Director of the IKNOW and representing MIoIR (Manchester University) was the keynote speaker of the event.
INNOHABITAT: FUTUROS PARA LA CONSTRUCCIÓN. Por todos es sabido que el sector de la Construcción, uno de los sectores productivos más importante en España durante los últimos años, se enfrenta a un futuro realmente incierto. Con el objetivo de abrir un debate sobre escenarios alternativos para este sector se celebró en Alicante una nueva edición de INNODAY, un foro internacional sobre Prospectiva e Innovación organizado por FUTURLAB desde 2009. En esta edición, que recibió el nombre de INNOHABITAT, tomaron parte los principales actores del Hipersector del Habitat en la Comunidad Valenciana, que pudieron conocer de primera mano algunos de los proyectos más punteros en Prospectiva Aplicada que se desarrollando a nivel internacional, como por ejemplo el proyecto europeo del que FUTURLAB es socio: iKNOW, dirigido por el Dr. Rafael Popper, del MIoIR de la Manchester University, quien actuó como ponente invitado de este evento.
